Metal plate high-temperature glue S857
S857 is well suited for sealing applications on E-coated metals prior to subsequent paint processes (including powder coating processes). It is designed as an adhesive/sealant, usually used in combination with spot welding, riveting, clinching, and other mechanical fastening techniques to fix parts until curing is complete.
Bonding of oily substrates is possible up to an oil amount of 3 g/m2. This product is suitable for professional experienced users. Tests with actual substrates and conditions have to be performed to ensure adhesion and material compatibility.
S857 One-component Solvent-free Sealant:
1. Used for clean metal or electro coat prior to powder coat.
2. For bonding clean steel plates and electrophoresis plates.
3. Sealing welds inside and outside the vehicle body.
4. Waterproofing, dustproof, and anti-corrosion of vehicle bodies.

Cure Mechanism: Curing depends on both temperature and elapsed time. Convection ovens are the preferred heat source. Recommended conditions: >175ºC (347°F) for 30 min. Heating should not exceed 230°C (446°F).
Method: S857 can be applied via electric or pneumatic guns for cartridges. For larger drum dispensing, standard hydraulic or pneumatic pumping equipment is required.
