Clear float glass is manufactured by flowing molten glass through a tin bath to a lehr. Under gravity and surface tension, the glass becomes perfectly smooth and flat on both sides. It features high light transmittance and is widely used for TV protection, LED monitors, and touch screens. Ultra clear (low iron) glass is also available, providing a colorless crystal appearance and superior transparency compared to standard float glass.
